Beehive on Hadfield is a locally owned and operated, purpose-built Early Childhood Education Centre.

Ideally situated among mature peppermint trees, we offer children a unique and natural setting to learn, develop and grow.

We are proud of our long and proven history of educating children and pride ourselves on our impeccable track record in the industry.

We practice & teach sustainability

We use the environment as a part of our teaching, using natural and recycled materials to encourage the children’s connection with the natural environment, this includes:

 

  • Growing of edible plants, vegetables, herbs and fruit which is embedded throughout our program and meals

  • Chickens for food scraps and egg collection,

  • Composting and worm farm practices,

  • Our resources are a combination of environmentally friendly sourced items that include recycled, reused and repurposed items.

  • Minimal use of chemicals throughout our centre,

  • Utilise the surrounding nature reserve for teaching purposes

Our Services

We offer specialised care for children aged 0 up to 5 years old.

Children are provided with education and care from open 7.30am to close 6pm, including all meals.

Koomal
(Possum)

In the Koomal Room (Nursery) we learn to:

  • Develop a sense of safety and security in their environment to enable them to confidently explore and learn

  • Connect with our friends and country through morning rituals of Acknowledgement to Wadandi People and Land, and Greeting our friends by Name

  • Introduce health and wellbeing through hand washing and healthy Eating

  • Begin to gain Independence, and responsible for our Belongings

  • Help one another and pack away together

Djiti Djiti
(Willy Wagtail)

In The Djiti Djiti Room (Toddler 1) we learn to:

  • To be independent confident learners through developing our self help skills.

  • We develop our independence at meal times and with dressing ourselves.

  • We also take responsibility for our own belongings, putting our bags away, and drink bottles.

Bindi Bindi
(Butterfly)

In the Bindi Bindi room (Toddler 2) we learn to:

  • Be independent and develop self help skills

  • Manage our self regulation and identify emotions

  • Follow instructions and grow to be confident learners

Yonga
(Kangaroo)

In The Yonga Room (Kindy) we learn to:

  • Develop our social skills with positive interactions, promoting sharing and co-operation amongst your child’s peers

  • Develop our independence, learning to be confident in our self help skills

  • Regulate our emotions, recognizing and labelling our emotions – learning skills to manage big emotions

  • Develop our cognitive skills, through problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity through play
